Neptune and The Mermaid were created
just in time for Guernsey's millennium celebrations. The work was done by
the newly formed Guernsey Giants Group with assistance and instruction from
David and Lorraine Mason of Manchester International Arts.

The newest giants present, Neptune and The Mermaid have only paraded once. This is their first trip off the island and their first meeting with other giants.
They have Catalan style stool type frames and are formed of carton, scrim and paper over wicker formers.
